How to make a chicken karahi

Here is a recipe for chicken curry:

Ingredients :

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained

1 cup chicken broth

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.

Stir in the cumin, coriander, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and garam masala. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the tomatoes, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Serve hot over rice or naan bread.

Tips:

For a spicier curry, add more cayenne pepper.

For a milder curry, omit the cayenne pepper.

If you don't have garam masala, you can substitute a mixture of 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon ground coriander, 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

You can also add other vegetables to the curry, such as carrots, potatoes, or peas.

To make a vegetarian curry, simply omit the chicken and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
